My midwiFery Journey...
The following link gives you a window into how I got here. Between two countries, across seven states, and through four time zones, this is me!
We practice intentional relationship with the entire birthing community and specifically cultivate right relations with
Black, Brown and Indigenous women and birthing persons.
We strive to be safe providers for persons seeking care for
all reproductive services, including abortion needs.
As an ally, the practice will also be a safe place for
reproductive services for the 2SLGBTQIA+ and
polyamorous community.
And, since money should not exclude families from accessing midwifery care, we are dedicated to making services available for families of all socio-economic backgrounds.
What is Community midwifery?
Safe, individualized, family-centered care with evidence-based informed decision and shared decision-making for low risk and normal pregnancies.
- 1 hr prenatal visits; monthly through 28 weeks; bi monthly after 28 weeks; weekly after 36 weeks
- Standard of care screening and diagnostic testing offered—in office/home ultrasounds (included in birth fee)
- On call for birth (24/7) at 37 weeks
- Newborn care from birth to 6 weeks
- 1 - 2 hr postpartum visits at 24-48 hrs, 72-96 hrs, 1 week, 3 weeks and 6 weeks
Though normal physiological perinatal care is the oldest profession, complications may arise. Our team is trained in CPR, NRP, and other emergency skills practiced at home, and we work collaboratively with nearby hospitals, physicians, and emergency departments.
